Short bionotes:
Yelis Erolova Ahmedova graduated in Ethnology at Historical Faculty at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” in 2003. In 2009 she defended PhD thesis “Borders and Identities. Diaspora communities in Dobrudzha” at the Institute of Ethnology with Museum, BAS and since 2010 is appointed as an assistant professor at the Balkan Ethnology Department. Her fields of interest within European Ethnology are focused on ethnicity, religion and migration. Yelis Erolova is an author of academic publications and conference papers related to different Roma groups, Crimean Tatars, Old believers in Bulgaria and Romania, Bulgarian migrants in Poland, Cyprus and Turkey. Also she has teaching experience with MA students from national and foreign universities. Currently Yelis Erolova is working on emigration from Bulgaria to Turkey (1923-to present) and refugee situation in Bulgaria (2011-to present).
