International conference “Between the Worlds: People, Spaces and Rituals” aims to bring together an interdisciplinary team of scholars and researchers from humanities and social sciences to share and discuss their research results on cultural, social, political, spiritual and emotional boundaries between traditional and modern societies and communities. The entanglement between old and new, local and national (‘ours’) and supranational (‘foreign’) perceptions, experiences, views, beliefs and practices has become more visible in the contemporary globalized world. Initiating a debate on interactions between people, spaces and rituals that interflow, cross and influence the worlds with different geographical, temporal and cultural dimensions is the main purpose. The contact spaces have various aspects which set a wide thematic range of the conference.
